The five-second fold
What you do, the towns you cover, why you're the safe choice, and one button: call. All of it on screen before anyone has to scroll or think.
Conversion-focused websites · Illinois HVAC
I build conversion-focused websites for Illinois HVAC companies. Fast, built for the phone, and pointed at one job: turning the visitors you already get into calls and booked work. Start with a free Conversion Snapshot of the site you've got now.
What I actually build
Most HVAC sites are a brochure that just sits there. I build yours around one path: a homeowner lands, trusts you in a few seconds, and taps to call. Here's the architecture I use on every build, and why each piece is there.
What you do, the towns you cover, why you're the safe choice, and one button: call. All of it on screen before anyone has to scroll or think.
Real reviews, years in business, license and certifications, financing if you offer it. The proof a homeowner wants before they'll let a stranger into their house.
Repair, maintenance, install, indoor air, emergency. Only what you actually do, said in plain words, easy to scan with a thumb on a phone.
Tap-to-call on every screen, a short quote form, and a clear note on when you'll get back to them. Nobody should have to hunt for your number.
The towns you serve, in your own words, so you show up and sound like the company down the road instead of a national chain that farms the work out.
Call tracking, form tracking, and a simple baseline from day one, so we both know what the site is doing. No guessing, no reports full of nothing.
Real HVAC sites I've built
I'm newer at this, so I won't fill the page with reviews you can't check. Here's the actual work instead. Real HVAC sites, built by hand, each in the company's own colors. This is the kind of site your money buys.
Want to see where your current site is leaking calls before you spend a dime? That's exactly what the free Conversion Snapshot shows you.
After launch
A website nobody tends slowly rots. Forms quietly break, software ages, a plugin takes the site down on a Saturday and you find out from a customer. Conversion Care keeps yours fast, safe, and actually working. It's a defined list, not "unlimited" anything.
$299 / month · covered
Quoted separately
Anything outside the list gets a plain quote before I touch it. No surprise line items, ever.
When the numbers earn it
Every HVAC owner I meet has bought software once that fixed a problem they never had. I won't do that to you. Once your site is live and we can actually see the numbers, we fix the biggest leak first. Not before. This is the order I follow.
No system goes in that you can't explain, staff, pause, and measure. I won't automate a mess to hide it. And nothing on your site or in your follow-up will ever invent a price, a diagnosis, or an arrival time — anything real gets handed to a person. Your name is the whole business, so I build to protect it.
Angi · Thumbtack · HomeAdvisor
The apps sell the same no-heat call to a truckload of HVAC guys and let the cheapest one win, and you pay whether that customer ever picks up or not. Then the day you stop paying, the whole thing shuts off. A site you own doesn't work that way.
Renting
Owning
I'm not telling you to shut the apps off tomorrow. Run them as long as they pay for themselves. Just don't let them be the only thing you've got.
No lock-in
Most HVAC owners have already been burned by an agency. Long contracts, surprise bills, and a website they find out too late they never owned. I built Open Book Local to be the opposite of all that.
What it costs
Almost no agency posts prices, and if you've ever been surprised by a bill you know exactly why. Start with the website. Add Care to keep it working. Expand only when the numbers say it's worth it.
$1,500 one-time
14–21 days. Half now, half when you say it's right.
Founding rate for my first 5 HVAC clients. Goes to $3,500 after that. Come in now and yours never moves.
$299/month
Month to month. Cancel any month and keep everything.
Founding rate for my first 5 HVAC clients, held for as long as you stay.
Scoped per project
Only after your site shows a leak worth fixing.
Priced once we can see the baseline. No automation just because it demos well.
Website first → Care to keep it working → Expand only when the numbers earn it.
He probably can, and it'll look fine on his laptop. But a site that looks fine and a site that turns a 9 PM no-heat search into a phone call are two different animals. Cheap usually buys a template a hundred other contractors already have, a contact form that emails an inbox nobody checks, and a phone number a homeowner has to dig for on their screen.
You bid against guys who cut corners, and you know exactly what their work costs the customer later. I'm not the cheapest. What you get is a site built to do one job, priced right out in the open, and a person who actually answers when you call.
My end of the deal
Anybody can say they're different. Here are three you can hold me to, and every one is something I actually control. They go in your agreement, not just on this page.
You get my cell number. Call, text, or email me Monday through Friday and you'll hear back inside 24 hours. If you don't, you don't pay for that month. Going quiet after the sale is the worst thing an agency does, and I won't do it.
Before we start, I write down what's shipping and the day it goes live. If it isn't done by then because of something on my end, I keep working at no extra charge until it is. Your launch date isn't a hopeful guess.
Each month I write down exactly what's getting done. If it doesn't all get done, you don't pay for that month. You get a short list you can check yourself instead of a report full of nothing.
What I won't promise: rankings, lead counts, or a number of booked jobs. Those depend on your pricing, your crew, and Google, not just your website. Anyone who guarantees them is selling you something. I'll promise the work and let the numbers on your dashboard speak for the rest.

This isn't a robot report. I open your site on a phone, the way a homeowner would, and I write up where it's losing calls: how clear you are in the first five seconds, whether you're easy to trust, how hard it is to actually reach you, and what happens after someone fills out your form. Yours to keep, even if we never work together.
Questions, answered straight
Web design is where we start, because it's the thing you can see. But I build for conversion: more calls and booked jobs, not a prettier logo. The site is the tool. More work on your calendar is the point.
Yes, all of it. The domain is in your name, the site is built on things you control, and the content is yours. If we part ways you keep every bit of it and I hand over all the logins. That's in the agreement, not just on this page.
No, and I'll never call it unlimited, because "unlimited" is how you end up ignored. Care is a defined list: hosting, monitoring, backups, monthly form and call-button checks, a set number of small edits, and a one-page conversion review each month. Anything bigger gets a plain quote before I touch it.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Your calls depend on your pricing, your reviews, your crew, and Google, not just your website. I guarantee the things I control: I answer in 24 hours, I ship on the date I promise, and I write down what you're paying for. The dashboard shows the rest, honestly.
It's real and I do it, but only after your site is live and the numbers show it's worth it. I won't sell you an AI system to fix a problem we haven't measured. When your call logs show real missed jobs and someone on your team can own the follow-up, we pilot it, you own it, and it never quotes a price or a time it can't stand behind.
Newer, yes, and I'd rather say so than post reviews you can't check. What I can show you is the work, up in the Work section. Early clients get my full attention and a founding rate for it. The honest way to judge me is the free Snapshot. It costs you nothing to find out how I think.
Because a furnace shop's problems aren't a dentist's. I know what a no-heat call is worth, why a homeowner picks one truck over another, and where HVAC sites lose the call. One trade done right beats ten done okay, and that focus is the whole point.
The prices here are for my first five paying HVAC clients. After that, the build goes to $3,500 and Care goes up. If you come in now, you keep your rate for as long as you stay. I won't raise it on you later. Early clients are betting on someone still building his track record, and that should be worth something.
You tell me, and I make it right the way it's written: the month comes off your bill, or I keep working free until the date's met. There's no form to fill out and no arguing about whether it counts.
